How does my new website look?

I made it yesterday, and got it published this morning. I’m testing out Google AdSense on it 
It’s kind of a tutorial and an example rolled into one.

Its not terrible but it seems kinda like a real old school design where you have to just keep scrolling down and scrolling down to get to the actual content.
I’m no expert but it looks good, very simple and to the point. I also clicked around the links for you, not sure if this will help you any.
Not bad. Good use of Whitespace. Google does the same thing and it’s very effective.
Few things.
1) Your site is missing a description and meta tags, both should be a the top of your code.
2) You have more than one H1 tag on the page, I would change the second to an H2.
3) One of the images on the page doesn’t have alternate text, ends with …223601412.png
4) Add at least one RSS feed to the page to help it gain some ground in the www
